Days 59 and 60: At Sea

Tuesday March 6th, and Wednesday March 7th, 2013

Not much to report, except working out, reading our books, knitting and napping, except that we had a formal night which was a whole lot of fun.  Leslie still not recovered chose to skip the meal, and Karen and Jonathan had a Captain's dinner.  We invited two men and their visiting friend Janice to dine with us.  Tom and Steve recently from Texas, just moved a week before the cruise to their retirement home in Miami.  We met them when we went to the Captain's dinner early in our cruise.  We have become friends with them both.  Their travel agent, Janice surprised them in Perth and is on till Hong Kong.  It was Janice's birthday and she ordered champagne for the table.  We had a witty conversation over dinner that progressed for 2 more hours in the Crow's Nest while we waited for the Neptune Ball.  We crossed the Equator today, and after the usual King Neptune offering in the Lido Pool of wet and dirty crew, we were given permission for safe passage.  The theme continued to the dance, where muchos bottles of champagne were handed out, and we finally called it a night just after 11 pm.
