Days 85 and 86: At Sea

Sunday March 31st, and Monday April 1st

Easter Sunday today and I decided to have an easy day, after spin and personal training class.  We had lunch in the Fontaine Dining Room with Jonathan, Karen and Leslie for a change.  We were disappointed that they didn't do the big Easter Brunch, but I understand they will do something extravagant on another day.  The weather is hot and humid, and we sat outside and enjoyed it, and I read and knit in the afternoon, before dinner.

Monday was April Fools Day, and they had a "dunk the crew" event to raise money for the Namibian Orphange that we have all been contributing to since Bali.  The Lido Pool area was jammed with onlookers who wanted to have an opportunity to toss and pitch large badminton like birds onto a net, which would trigger the "dumper" to tip the crew member into the pool.  All the crew wear their uniforms, but bare feet and they are extremely good sports about it.  One little boy, Connor, who is 9, was the benefactor of lots of guest's money, as he tried to dunk people.  Huge cheers arose when he was successful.  Of course the "piece de resistance" was the dunking of Jonathan.  I am afraid I had to miss that , as the event ran a long time, and I had to dress for dinner.  Barry caught it all on camera.  Enjoy.
